wont charge

Charging station shows 100% charge but battery is fully depleted. When battery is placed in charger it blinks orange and red, then stops blinking. Charger shows 25% charge briefly, then goes directly to 100% while cooling motor starts for a second then stops. Battery will work in mower for 1 minute, then stop with no indication of low battery.

Do you have another charger you could try ?

or

Try a reset of the charger/battery.
unplug charger and remove battery.
place battery back on charger
plug charger in with battery installed.
this can solve some problems

or

give Ego customer service a call
call first thing in the morning if you can in order to minimize any hold time

Thanks for reply. I tried that a few times and unfortunately I have no other chargers or batteries.

This exactly happened to my first battery. Hopefully you're within 3 years and they will readily send you a new one.

Try putting the battery in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, then put back on the charger. Sounds like a joke, but we have seen and mentioned this in many other threads and it worked in many cases.

My first battery, which Ego replaced did what the original poster described. Put on charger it would go 25% then quickly 100% then the battery light goes red.

So I read again the refrigerator stuff, and tried it last night. Put it in overnight.

It didn't change anything - it's still an anchor.
