Which mower to buy?

I have a 4000 sq ft lawn and live in the northeast. I bag occasionally but would like to mulch most of the time. Had a 19" neuton which was fine for bagging but left clumps of grass when mulching.

Reading reviews it seems like some people have better luck mulching with the older 20" model because of the higher RPMs. Others have good luck with the standard blade on the newer 21"  model. Still others highly recommend the 20" steel deck with the high lift blade. Cost isn't as much issue as which one mulches grass the best. Opinions would be appreciated.

I get good results on blue grass fescue mix with the 21" SP model using the standard blade.
And remember if you purchase from home Depot you can return it within 90 days if you are not satisfied.

What height do you cut with? And do you notice any difference in mulching at different heights?

Setting 3 which is 2 1/2 " most of the year
Setting 2 which is 2 " in the fallNo measurable difference in the mulching

I cut mine on the second height. Approx 2”. Sorry but that height was perfect for me so I never tried any other ones.
Consumer reports rated the lawnmower as the best push mower.
