I'm trying to buy the Model #ST1500SF string trimmer (without additional battery), but it is out of stock. When will it be available again?

The ST1500SF will unfortunately not be available again until mid- October.

Thanks.  I'm surprised that it will be that long.  I also don't know why the split-shaft, in addition to being less desirable, is MORE expensive.  It it were less money, I might be interested in it; in place of this out of stock model.  Thanks.

Why is the split shaft version less desirable? I have one, with the regular head, not the rapid reload head, and it works great.

Keep in mind that there is no functional difference between the split and straight shafts. The two styles are solely a product of shipping concerns.

Kind of what I thought. Makes one wonder why the difference in price though. Only a few more parts for the end user to assemble before use.

I ordered mine two weeks ago and it arrived in about 10 days. I'm very happy with it!
