The push ones are available at Home Depot now, the Self-propelled ones can be bought from RCPW and possibly other outlets as well.  It is out of stock at Home Depot.

I Can't find this model anywhere, it would be nice if the manufacturer would give us some information. Can they not meet demand or are there other issues?

Tim, it seems Home Depot has failed again, just like with the Power Head system... severely underestimating the demand and under stocking.

If the same pattern repeats, it'll be a couple months before they have it in stock again. Did you ask Home Depot if they had an in stock date? Hopefully I'm wrong.

RCPW is an independent EGO dealer.

Thanks, TAT, but I'm waiting for a warranty replacement through HD. I'm trying to be patient, but it's been a month.

Just your luck so it seems...  Thanks to Tools in Action, I did my two warranty replacements directly through EGO.

Please hurry! My old gas mower died so I need one ASAP as my grass is still growing fast. The new steel deck is finally at a level that makes me want to buy a cordless electric. I'm waiting to buy one of these as my firs!! Sadly, I may have to just get a gas one since these aren't available in which case I won't be ready to buy an ego for several more years. :(

Not sure which mower you are looking for

The steel deck push mower is available
http://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-20-in-56-Volt-Lithium-ion-Electric-Brushless-Walk-Behind-Steel-Deck-P...

The SP model is currently out of stock.

I know you can check yourself and not trying to post the obvious here, but there have been some posters surprised by availability, thus I posted the seemingly obvious.

Hopefully Amber has an update on the SP model

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled LM2022SP Availability.

I am ready to buy the new EGO lawn mower with brushless motor (LM2022SP), but Home Depot is currently out.  Any word on the reason and when there maybe a new supply provided?

Well thanks for taking so long EGO.  I finally had to go buy a gas mower since your new steel deck still isn't in stock.  I was also going to buy the power head system which is also out of stock.  Looks like you've lost a customer for at least a few years.

I'm in the same boat.  Home Depot doesn't have any clue and I'm about to purchase a gas mower as well.  I have been wanting an EGO brushless but Home Depot has no inventory.  This is kind of ridiculous to be honest.  I'll give them till the end of August and then I'm done with all EGO products.

I was just told by customer service that the 20" steel deck SP will not be available until late September.  Amber, can you verify?

Is there a supply problem or can you say what the issue is? When do you come out with new models?

New models? Please import the Ego UK hedge trimmers!
It looks like the mower will be in stock about the time it starts raining.

New models?

Probably right after we buy the 2017 models (as the leaves drop or, given how this is going, as the snow falls).

Then, prepare to be surprised when the new and improved 2018 models come out with an ambidextrous control for the wheel-drive, which I think is an unforgivable oversight, that they're not already ambidextrous.

I'D BE HAPPY TO TEST ONE FOR EGO, when one comes out, as I'm a "lefty" who is somewhat ambidextrous.

(Right now, you can only actuate the drive from one side of the handle--can't remember which.  I told them about it, and they eagerly assured me a manager would be calling me back "..within two days..." to discuss my thoughts on this.

I left them phone numbers, etc....  Been at least a month or two--still waiting for that call.

I hope I can get the self-propelled, gas-powered walk behind mower I pulled out of the garbage to run....  If so, guess what?

No $1,000. EGO mower for me (when you add the warranty, it's close to $1,000., right?).

And whoever said "...the silence is deafening..." is right.

Now--wait for it:  Amber, "Angel" or some other "Champion" or whatever they call themselves, will swoop in and chastise ME for my negative attitude in...1, 2, 3....

*yawn*  (Rhymes with LAWN, which is GROWING, unlike my patience, and willingness to spend $1,000. on a mower I can't sit on.  I picked up a 2005 Cub Cadet, 54" cut, 2 cylinder (commercial-powered--Kohler) LT1554 LAWN TRACTOR, in excellent condition, for $800., from my neighbor, with approx. 450 hours on it.

Anyone can do the math...but admittedly, I DO need a small, walk-behind mower, to get into smaller spaces than the tractor can fit....

So, I'm still, potentially an EGO customer....  ;-)

Nome DePlume - do you own a mower or have an interest in a particular model you have questions on.  Not sure what I am supposed to chastise you for, but if that's what you want, I can come up with something.

Dear szwoopp/Champion,

No offense, but, is that really a serious question?

While I would have thought it was obvious, as I'm posting in THIS thread, entitled:
"When will the 20" steel deck mower be available again?", at the risk of belaboring the obvious, I'll specifically clarify:

YES, in fact, I do have an interest in a particular model, i.e., the very same mower that is the topic of this thread (i.e., the "...20 steel deck mower", a.k.a., your Model Number LM2022SP, link below:

https://egopowerplus.com/collections/power-self-propelled-mowers/products/power-20-self-propelled-lawn-mower-with-steel-deck

In fact, I've wanted to purchase this mower for quite some time but, as you well know, they are (now) unavailable until "...late September..." IIRC.

Do you have any, (potentially) more challenging questions I can clarify/answer for you?

PRO-TIPIf you're going to chastise me, you might want to take note of how "Blue Angel" does it (if that's her name--I can't be bothered to hunt it down for you, right now, if that's not correct--sorry.)  But she's a MASTER at (potential) customer-chastising.

Although, I must add, you are making a name for yourself in the field of asking glaringly-obvious questions....

Ciao

Nome, I'll take that as a compliment I guess? :-)

If you are going to do the majority of your cutting with a ride-on mower I'd suggest trying the original 20" plastic deck model. It works really well for cutting smaller areas if you don't require a self-propel function. As light as it is, I'd think SP might be overkill for trimming? Just a suggestion, I don't know your situation.

P.S. I'm a guy, but I can see why some might think my name means otherwise. No harm, no foul. ;-)

LM2022SP is $750 and you do not need to add a warranty.  All Ego products come with 5 year/tool and 3 year/battery warranty.

This line of conversation has taken a really combative tone and we're closing the thread to future comments.  Nome, if you are interested in our tools, we welcome your questions.  We do not welcome assumptions that everyone on this forum is out to get you or chastise you.  The champions are normal, everyday Joe's who have contributed on our site and take time out of their day to help people.  They are not EGO employees and they are not compensated by us. Next season seems like the best time to purchase again in order to take advantage of the 90 day return policy and potential improvements to issues Ego may have identified as problematic. Such as better mulching ability, increasing self-propelled top speed slightly (it is slower than 2012SP) and self-propelled lock up when disengaging and pulling back (2021SP doesn't do that). From my experience, these issues could be improved.

BTW...we still haven't had the new 20" available in Canada, so next year the price should be less with the better CAD exchange rate...hopefully. I bought one out of the states...with the exchange, GST & duties it cost me about $1200.
