Last nite I charged out of the box batteries as suggested by the manual. I used the weed eater and blower today. I put both batteries on the chargers to fully recharge. They are in the closet for a week until I use them, Is this correct?

That's exactly what I do weekly so I'm ready to go with no delays.

That is my routine.  It's best if you let them cool down a little before recharging them, it helps with the life cycle of the battery. They will hold a full charge if you are only storing them a week.  Also, don't store them in your garage in the summer, if they stay in hot temperatures for extended periods of time, the heat sensor in the batter could sense the heat and assume the battery was overheated by use and it will not run your equipment.  I speak from experience. I charge and store my battery inside.
