With this being an electric motor, I was just curious as to how long it is expected to last. Being an electric, and made of plastic. I don't know that it would outlive that of a regular mower.

We'll let you know when they start wearing out. :-)

Seriously, this mower is made of very high quality plastic that should stand the test of time.  For what it's worth, my Ego mower is replacing a 10 year old plastic Black & Decker corded mower that was still going.

The only reason I replaced the old B&D is because I was sick and tired of dragging around a 100 ft extension cord.  Without exaggeration, I can now cut my lawn in about 1/2 the time it took before, having to deal with unraveling the cord, dealing with it while cutting, then winding it back up and putting it away.  Cordless mowing is SO liberating!
