Just realized I shouldn't be relying on WD-40.   It doesn't lubricate well enough.  So I went to HD today, figuring there would be SOMETHING in the store suitable for spraying on the blades.  Boy, was I wrong.  I have a can of T9 but that's way too expensive to be spraying on the trimmer frequently.  What lubricating fluid (that I can spray) is safe for plants, helps prevent rust, and also lubricates?   I've read all sorts of diverse opinions such as canola oil, motor oil, wd-40, et al.  I'd like something that isn't going to come in just a tiny spray can at an exorbitant price per ounce.
