Hey, love your products!
Idea for you - develop a battery operated wet/dry vacuum... I'd buy the first one!

I've been asking, and suggesting and so have many others.  EGO in my opinion has the best, powerful, battery for this.  EGO also has the motor technology already and obviously the housings and molding capabilities / resources in place.  The competition would be threatened and then blown out of the water if EGO entered this space.  I'd like to see a small, hand-held, yet capable of having an extension and attachments style vacuum which can be used in the garage, and for cars, floors etc.  Shop-vac are nice, but I am sure EGO has the contacts to make a better smaller (or larger) vacuum than Dyson, Milwaukee, Makita, Dewalt, Red Devil, Porer Cable, Rigid, and Ryobi (which has a few nice ones now).  - Jeremy in Tennessee USA  GO EGO

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Hand-held vacuum / shop vacuum.

Would love to see Ego use its obvious advancement in the 56V battery for a hand-held indoor or shop vacuum.  Not on the blower, but a real nice and easy to use shop vacuum or hand-held that can compete with the cheap Dysons.  I think those are so over-rated.  Get good suction and 56V running time (li-on) and you would have it sold over and over.  The reputation on the blower and the trimmer will propel the shop vacuum / clean-up vacuum.  Would be superb winter time gift during the playoffs and Superbowl month(s).  Greta product so far (I have the blower).

And no mention of a power center.  My God they are missing out on 2 "no brainer" products here!  Vacuum and Power Center.

I agree with you that the vacuum may be out of their product offerings they want to pursue, but the power center seems like such a simple design that they could get to market very quickly

EGO could at least tell us why they don't want to make a hand-held/shop vac.  It looks like I will have to buy the new Shark ionflex battery powered house vac, because I will be dead of old age before EGO would ever make one.  I am just facing reality, EGO does not want to build any kind of vacuum.

Yes, and apple should tell us the features and release date of the next iphone a year in advance.
It would be nice if we could have an upcoming products list from all companies, but that is not really how things work.  Unfortunately, companies release product information when it fits into their production and marketing plans and not when customers ask.

Many folks have suggested a shop vac and many other products.  Those ideas are forwarded to Ego product development department.  Ego will announce new products when they can or when they want, just like every other company.

I certainly agree, it would be nice to have a window into their product development room - just saying that is generally not how it works..

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make a multi-tool USB charger/flash light, emergency radio device.  It is a no-brainer, could run for a very long time on one of these batteries.

The Shop Vac doesn't really fit into their product line, but does not mean it is HIGHLY desire-able to a very large number of us.

Agreed. I finally gave in and bought a new Hoover React 24V hand/stick vac. It's just powerful enough and easy to use for my indoor quick/spot vac chores but I'd still love an EGO shop vac for the garage...plugging in and dragging the cord on my 5-gallon model is a pain.

Yes, just make a few of them and see if they sell at Home Depot if it doesn't cost too much to ready the production equipment.  If they sell out and you get good feedback on them, you have a winner that you just might make a bunch of money on if you're interested.

Yeah, these are two products that are sorely missed.
