Weed eater won't feed with the automatic feeder

I have a self winding spool it will feed for about 10 or 15 feet than I have to take it apart to fix the line I am using 7mm

Couple of confusing statements in your post...

1) self winding, do you mean the rapid reload head, AH1500? 
2) 7mm line, are you sure that is correct; the AH1300/1500 heads use 0.095", or 2.4mm line.

If you happen to be using the AH1300 bump feed head, when you wrap the line, make sure you leave it on the looser side, rather than wrapping it very tightly.  I also use about 75% of the recommend length of line, which I think is around 17 feet, so I only put about 12 feet in there (two arm spans), for the same reason above so that the line is not packed in there.

I am using the bump feed head I checked my string again it is 2.7 which may be to thick to feed

The 2.7mm line is likely causing the feed problems.  That is 0.105" line; the Ego trimmers need 2.4mm (0.095") line.
