I bought the Lawn Stryper to use with the EGO mower to put some domination lines in my lawn. Unfortunately it only fits round handles and EGO has an odd shaped handle. So I'm trying to figure out a way to get it to work with the mower. So far my idea is to epoxy some nuts into the holes in the side of the part where the handle attached to the mower and then hook it up. It's not the best fix, but don't really want to ship it back. EGO should sell a Lawn Stryper mount for their mowers, or make their own stripper attachment. I'll post a photo once I get it rigged up.

Sold that house. Now have 2 acres to cut so back to a gas mower though I seen a roybi plug in riding mower but I am not sure it will handle my new yard. I love my ego wish they made a zero turn. For now the ego will be used as a outline cutter now

So, it tried it out and I cut my st. augustine grass at 4" or so and it didn't work for me. Not sure if it's the blade doesn't create enough lift, the grass is too rigid, or if I didn't have enough sand in it. Anyway I'm sending it back. In the manual it says it doesn't work well with st. augustine grass. I wish they had put that in the Amazon description.

Does the EGO 21" work well with your St. Augustine? I have Bermuda and I'm still a little hesitant on how well the mower will handle the grass at 2". Much of my yard is like thick carpet. I don't need self-propel but I was leaning that way since my understanding is it has a stronger motor. My grass has come out of dormancy so I'd like to make a decision soon.

I haven't had any issues cutting it. The stripper didn't work for me though.

Lawn Jedi, I know you sold your house and don't use the striper any more, but was wanting to ask about your zip tie setup. Looking into a striper and wondered do you have to cut the zip ties every time you're done w/ the striper?

I like Michael Cooks pic of his install but don't know he did that either.

I've never owned a striper before and hope to be able to use something that's easy to get on and off.  I have tall fescue, awesome lawn, and my body is ready.
