Was blowing light snow off sidewalk with leaf blower and it quit.  Called EGO customer service and they said DONT DO THAT, they would send me a new blower THIS TIME.  I wont use the leaf blower to blow snow anymore...it works great for leaves and I cant live without it!!

Erik, thanks for pointing this out. While we did post this quite nearly 2 years ago, it's now more our recommendation to only use the blower in snow when it's not actively snowing or to really limit your use of the snow blower in snow. We have seen countless user videos of using the handheld blowers in the snow without issue but there's always a risk. The handle in the 530CFM blower does have a ground in it but could be circumvented by wearing gloves. The highest risk of shock can occur when using the blower if it's actively snowing as the small particles flying around can be sucked into the intake and cause shocks or additional damage to the blower's internal circuitry.
