I am thrilled that you guys have built the power supply :)

Hopping the next step is a trolling motor

I once saw a snow blower for sale 2nd hand so wish I had thought to buy it and tried to adapt it to something to make a trolling motor

Seems that would have ample power I have seen the video of it on YouTube

Please build it and we will come lol

So many people like me who just need a clean little moter to go short distance

Example me just get my 20' sailboat in and out of the Marina hate gas it smells up the boat and I could get a few extra batterys

And it would still probably weigh less than gas

PLEASE!!!!!!?????

Did you see Kite Army’s YouTube video? He converts a string trimmer attachment to a trolling motor head!

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a trolling motor request. The more requested an item the better chance it has to see the market!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled outboard motor.

You should make an electric outboard that can take two EGO batteries and has a ~1kW direct drive (no gearbox!) motor. Specs should be similar to the Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 (which I own and love).

A trolling motor is a different beast that an electric outboard, so you really should make both. A trolling motor needs pedal speed control and a swing arm. An electric outboard needs transom clamps and twist speed control on the tiller.

I've seen plenty of fishing boats that have an electric outboard on the transom (Epropulsion or Torqeedo, for instance), and a Minn Kota trolling motor on the bow. So the two products wouldn't compete with each other, but be complimentary.
