Trimmer Bump Head Does Not Work!

I can not get the bump head to work on my EGO Trimmer! I have tried re-winding the string, replacing the string with different string, replacing the whole bump head assembly! nothing works. I have to continually stop, take the bump head apart to get more string. It takes me 1.5 hours to do the same job my old gas trimmer did in 15 minutes. Is there a fix? or do I need to take it back to Home Depot.
The EGO lawnmower and Blower work like a dream...the trimmer is a nightmare!

I'm perfectly happy with my 12'" trimmer and don't feel like I'm "stuck with the first model trimmer". The trimmer works perfectly and changing the string and winding the string properly equalled no issues whatsoever with the bump feed.

I still think a replacement head like the Rhino that takes 3 separate lines or plastic cutters.

JAS, this is something we're looking into for future versions of the string trimmer.  Thanks for your feedback.

If you use round string it will work...trust me I have both the old and the new Trimmer. I gave up on the old one and bought the second generation trimmer it came with the same crappy string that they supplied with the old one and it would not feed properly...I changed the string to the smooth round type and it works great.

An idea for the string trimmer, make it compatible with aftermarket heads like the speed-feed?

Works great. Does yours still have a spring in it or did it get Lost? It needs to be at full speed when bumping it. I use mine once a month and I generally go through four spools of string without an issue.
