Trimmer Charger Clicks and Blinks Green Light

My relatively new trimmer charger clicks and blinks green light.  It started late last season, I called EGO; but I was on the line for a while so I hung up.  I have since been unhappy with this tool.  Now the mowing and trimming season is starting again, and I have been over 20 minutes waiting for customer service to assist.  It appears that this problem is common with the charger; has anyone in this forum had the same problem?  If so, what was the solution.  Thanks.

Kay, shouldn't have procrastinated; you're past the 90 day return policy unless you charged that purchase on a Home Depot card. But, you're still under warranty; call customer service first thing in the morning at 1-855-EGO-5656 (1-855-346-5656) and bear in mind this is their busiest time of the year.

yeah mine started to do the same thing this spring, charger blinks battery blinks and doesn't hold a charge.  Bought it back in July last year at Home Depot..... not sure what happened over the winter.

On the line with customer service now, we shall see how it goes.

Christ, if your battery was stored in an uninsulated area, the battery may be damaged. Mine are stored in a insulated garage where the temps range between 40s - 80s and they're used year round.

I read somewhere that it is not a good idea to store lithium batttery packs in an area that will freeze or get very hot. Shed or garage for example.I keep mine stored in my home during the winter months. Hope this helps.

I stored mine in the kitchen and it blinks green all the time. First charge this year. First one already warrantied the day after I bought it. Definitely not very Ego-nomic...
