Finally all my tools my orders came in. Unpacked slapped in the 2.5 battery and ran the hedge trimmer. Hit it with some wd40 and tidied up my hedges. It worked very well, strong an d sliced through everything. I needed. However I found it was too long for my needs. This caused me to worry about long term used an if the teeth will bend. This thing is very long maybe tooo long.

Done with that tool I moved the 2.5 into my new weed wacker multi-tool setup. -- WOW-- this thing is fast!, then I found this little switch on the top an it kicked up to another speed level; insane! I knocked out that job in no time. I even used it to clean out a crack in the sidewalk where grass was growing. Moving on to the edger attachment.

Quick disconnect is smooth and secure. Edger work as well as the trimmer. Not a lot of options on an edger tool. But I loved having a multi-tool head vs separate units. Now my lawn has a nice neat DEEP line around it. The 2.5 is still holding up.

Now let me say this I don't have a giant sprawling yard. And this was all front yard action but so far so good.

Now my new 575 blower. Slapped in the 2.5, and again WOW! I started blowing out th garage got dirt in my teeth because I couldn't stop smiling. Holding the blower from my wasted it kicked my area back like sticking your arm out of the wind in a car. This thing is really cool and strong.

On to the driveway, cleaning up the deep lines on my nicely edge lawn and a couple of minutes... it died. So I grabbed the 7.5 back on the job. It has a lock switch where you can adjust the speed and lock it in, Man I blew and blew and blew the blower. Opened the car trunk and even blew out debris from there. If the wife wasn't home I would have blown out the house! So bottom line the 2.5 battery held up well for my front yard clean up job. But I see a 5.0 battery in my future to get through a complete front/back yard job. The 7.5 works well on the blower, not too heavy at all. That was a concern for me with my iffy lower back L7 problem. Anyway using the mower battery really makes use of the 7.5 from the mower. All in all build, light, powerful fit of universal battery. In my view view, winner, winner chicken dinner! Well maybe not the headgear trimmer.

Thanks for the great review, Leo! Glad you're happy with everything!

Regarding the hedge trimmer length, I would imagine those with large hedges will appreciate the length of the tool vs those who are using it on smaller shrubs. The length works ok for me as I use it on a small willow in our back yard as well as a small hedge out front.

Agreed that using it on smaller plants is not as convenient, but with a little practice I can get good results on some small stuff in the garden. I find with pruning shears I'm all over the place in terms of length unless I go very slow and pay close attention. At least with the hedge trimmer every branch ends up the same and not looking like a six year old who cut his own hair. :-)

Thanks for the "thorough" review of your new tools Leo ... how exciting to have all these tools come at one time.  I don't know what I would do with myself with all these tools ... maybe take a week off and spend time playing with them.

That said; I have a older "electric" hedge trimmer with an 18" blade.  There were times last year that I wanted a little bit more length, to get through some of my large Hibiscus plants.  Fast forward to today, I decided to buy an EGO hedge trimmer and will be putting that to the test this weekend.

Congrats on all your new tools and keep us posted on your ongoing success ... :-)

Oh by the way the 575 blower come with a shoulder strap, I found it was not needed. But glad to have it so EGo don't take this away.
