Suggestion: Loaners.

Considering the length of time repairs take, couldn't our local HD store offer "LOANERS"?.  I'd hate to have my mower go down during grass cutting season.  I'd probably have to consider buying a cheap gas mower to tide me over.  BTW we love our 21" SP mower, Back Pack Blower and the new Power Head Kit (edger and string trimmer).  Am considering adding the snow blower to my EGO tools.

That would be a great program.  I think some HD repair departments have "renters" a mower you can rent while your s is in for repair.  I do not think it is universal nor free.

I'll make my own "loaner" by buying a mower (any brand I fancy) if mine is in for repair.  Then return it prior to the end of the refundable period.  Voila.  A  "rental".

Make it a Ryobi so HD feels the full economic brunt of your plan.

I have no idea what you are getting at, but that's ok.

I concur. Wouldn't hurt as bad if it didn't need to be shipped halfway across the country and take 2 weeks to ship back after done. Next repair I am buying one when I drop it off. I'll offer to them which they want to refund me for when it finally arrives.
Even the option to swap a similar or upgrade refurbished item. So wish we didn't have to create our own loaner system. But what choice do we have? Will HD/EGO pay my HOA fines for not keeping my edging from overgrowing? haha
See I dug up a 2 year old thread... but it has not improved since then. I didn't search EGO suggested it to me.

My mower took about 2 weeks to go from Arizona back to SJ, Calif.  When I complained to EGO that not only didn't they fix anything, it came back with an additional electronics problem.  EGO sent me a new unit that arrived in 7 DAYS from the day I called them.  Props to EGO, and big raspberry to HD.
