I purchased an Ego 56v Lithium Ion String Trimmer on May 13 and have used it approximately 8 hrs since then. The first 6 hrs went relatively well, although the battery has never lasted over 30-35 mins.

During the last several times I've used it I have experienced problems: the motor seems to rev up and down (even if I am not doing anything strenuous) and labour. I have taken off the spool and housing and cleaned out any grass wound inside (to be required to take that apart after each usage is a design flaw). I have avoided tall grass and when I've cut grass over 8" tall I have made several passes. The machine continues to strain  and rev up and down anyway. The last two times I've used it the charge lasted between 17-20 minutes!

If this is how this machine is going to operate in the future this isn't a good omen. Do you have any suggestions? What do I do next to remedy the situation, and if I can't then what?
