Trigger simply broke off during operation. It would be an easy repair job, if I could get a replacement. Many other brands offer these for a few $s, but I cannot find one for Ego.
Help, anyone?

Official Response
You can find a lot of replacement parts here, if you know the part number: https://www.rcpw.com/ego-parts/

Otherwise, a call to Ego customer service is in order:

1-855-EGO-5656 (1-855-346-5656) from 8:30AM - 8:00PM EST (Monday - Friday) & 10:00AM - 6:00PM EST (Saturday & Sunday).

Call as soon as they open to avoid long wait times since this is their peak season.

Thank you for the tip, however:
I have scoured the https://www.rcpw.com/ego-parts/ plus the internet and found not a single mention of the ego trimmer throttle trigger, let alone its part number.
I have spent countless minutes (upto 30) holding the line waiting for some response (early mornings) and got nothing but  robo-assurance of how much my call mattered to Ego. No calls back to my # after I supplied it to Ego.
I have pretty much gave up on Ego's support and am presently searching to have the trigger 3D- printed somewhere.
Huge fail, Ego......
