String trimmer 15" balance and weight with 4Ah battery?

I have the mower with 4Ah battery/fast charger and will be getting the 15" string trimmer and eventually the blower. Should I get the bare trimmer and use the 4Ah battery? How is the balance and weight of the trimmer with the larger battery?

I don't have great stamina for yard work and don't mind short breaks. Most seem to report that the blower works better with the 4Ah battery, and the trimmer works fine with the 2Ah battery. My thought is to get the trimmer/2Ah combo, then the bare blower and if I need more battery,, get the 7.5Ah for the mower. I don't mind doing front/back in separate sessions with my mower and 4Ah battery. Am I analyzing / agonizing over this too much?

Hi Greg.  Yeah, you may be over-thinking it.  But I can say that only because I've been there!  I first bought the mower, with the 4Ah battery of course.  Later I bought the blower, which came with the smaller 2Ah battery.  Finally, I bought a 15" line trimmer without a battery.  I use both batteries with all three devices.  When I mow, sometimes I can't quite finish my yard with the big battery, so it's great that I can put the small one in to finish.  It's also great having extra battery power when using the blower and trimmer.  Obviously, it's a bit more difficult handling them with the 4Ah battery, but not too bad.  When one battery runs down, I immediately put it on the fast charger and grab the other battery.  In this way, I don't really get breaks, unless I want one!

My friend buy the combo trimmer and the blower without battery .. The weight is not a problem but for longer lasting battery you will another one because the battery needs at least 10 minutes break beteween charges .. 15 to 30 minutes to charge and 10 minutes break .. In my case the mower on normal use 45 minutes and the trimmer with 2amp battery the same time ... With the juice left in one of them i use the blower ... And the yard is done in less than 2 hours ..

I have the mower, 12" trimmer, blower, hedge trimmer, (1) 4 Ah, and (2) 2 Ah batteries which seems to be the perfect combination for my small lawn.

Hi Tim, I think you are correct.  My lawn is a medium/large sized.  I have (2) 4ah and (2) 2ah.  I rarely get to hit the 2ah batteries though.  When I use the chainsaw or more than one tool is in use, the extra batteries become very useful.
