I have a storage shed for gardening equipment.  After looking over the trimmer, I figured the best bet was to hang it from the indentation formed from the head and shaft.  I used a piece of antenna wire, covered with tubing to prevent scratching the trimmer.   A couple of eye-bolts attached to the 2x4's and all that was left was to crimp the wire.  I double crimped just in case one crimp loosens.  I don't want the trimmer to fall and get damaged.

If you don't have the resources for the cable and crimps I think a rubber bungee cord hooked to a couple of eye screws should work too.
