ST1521S Trimmer Line Replacement

I have watched the video here on the EGO website on how to replace the string on this model, but my cutting head is not like the video. I can release the outer housing using the two press-in tabs, but the spool itself doess not come out.  Thoughts?

Do you have a power head? Otherwise I can't answer this question. My Trimmer with Graphite Shaft has been "in the shop" for 5 weeks......yard is looking shabby......it worked beautifully until it just stopped....
This was my FIRST EGO product. No issues with chain saw or hedge trimmer. I love EGO products ....but am disappointed with the inability to work as wonderfully as it did the first 3 times I used it......Good Luck......EGO makes wonderful products.....maybe i got a lemon or a BETA model.......

If your repair at HD reaches 4 weeks Ego wants to get involved nd expedite things.  Give Ego customer service a call and let them help you out.

That trimmer is the model with the autoload feature. You don't need to take the head apart to reload string.
