I just received a new cutting head set for my ST1500 trimmer. Where can I find instructions on how to install it?

Everything you need should be in the trimmer manual:

There's an exploded view on page 31.

I liked your answer, I grabed a copy of the manual and saved it.

Hi Bruno, we also have a YouTube video here to help: https://youtu.be/nEUz63VipHM?list=PL82ntYmWALMK21UE7FyjqzolW_ncJD9pI

Thanks, but what I need to replace is the entire cutting head assembly (not just the spool line).

I found this manual page, but it's still not clear how to remove/install a new cutting head set (e.g. just pull it?). Can someone send me instructions? Thanks.

Bruno, if you watch the video that Jennifer linked to above, you'll notice when you pull the spool base (bump feed knob) off, there's a nut below it. If you remove that nut the whole head should come off.

I have the same issue as Bruno, it's not clear.  Yes I see the nut but it is so tight and difficult to remove.  Unfortunately we don't have a ratchet set, only ratchet type heads that go on a power cordless drill.  We have the right side but it's so strong we are worried about cutting our fingers off trying to hold the plastic in place strong enough to remove the nut

This might have a reverse thread nut. The removal instructions should spell that out if that is the case. This means to loosen you have to go clockwise.

Hey all, do you think the 15inch trimmer can handle a Speed Feed head?  They are soooo easy to load the line in that it's hard to use anything else.  I might get one and try it, or is EGO making one that is similar?

Andy, there are no optional heads available for Ego trimmers. You might just have to try it out and see if it fits. If it works be sure to post some pics!
