Special order snow blower w/2x7.5 to AK; batteries shipped separately and lost?

A note inside and outside the box says that the 2 7.5 batteries were shipped separately.

Special orders to AK are routed through Washington. The tracking number for the batteries says they were delivered to Washington. The snowblower is with me in Alaska.

Called Ego customer service and they say it's on Home Depot.

I could have bought the blower with 2x5.0 batteries in store, but I wanted the 7.5's so I paid extra and waited for shipping, and now the whole reason I bought the more expensive product feels like it's falling through the cracks.

Ego says it's delivered. UPS says its delivered. Home Depot just says wait a few more weeks and hope for the best. I've already signed for the receipt of my order, without knowing the order was incomplete... no one has any tracking info or anything related to the location of the batteries. All other Ego purchases came with batteries in the box.

Even if they are still coming to Alaska, I have to hope that whoever finds it has half a brain to track me down when it looks like I've signed for what I ordered.

It sounds to me like Home Depot is just trying to wash its hands of the problem, and UPS misdelivered the shipment. I would think it's mostly on UPS to fix. If the tracking shows delivered in Washington and the shipment was to Alaska, I would think that's pretty cut and dried.

This may be worth going in to a local UPS shipping center and dealing with it in person rather than try to deal with it over the phone.

Apart from that, if absolutely no one will take responsibility for this I would then initiate a dispute with my credit card company.

If you're within the 90 day window, return the package to Home Depot for a full refund.

To do that he'd likely have to produce the batteries.

Return what you received, and if HD doesn't provide a full refund, then dispute through your credit card company.  But I see below HD gift cards were used.  By HD saying "Home Depot just says wait a few more weeks and hope for the best.", they are acknowledging it's their issue, not the customer's, so I'd still move forward with a return attempt.

I really had my heart set on adding 2 more 7.5's to my arsenal. I'd hate to return for any reason. I like every Ego product I own.

I purchased with Home Depot gift card, so credit dispute is probably out of the question.

It just seems like it may create some confusion with the shipping/ receiving departments. My boxes were marked 1of3, 2of3, and 3of3; I also ordered replacement paddle and belt. It should have said 'of 4' if there was another package to receive.

I'll wait another 2 or 3 weeks, we have time till it snows. Just this process sucks. Seems like there'd be tracking for $700 worth of batteries. They're probably sitting on a boat somewhere and threw these things on a plane... but that's only my best guess.

I would still approach UPS now since it doesn't cost you anything and they presumably have the tracking number to see that the package wasn't even delivered to the right state.

"The tracking number for the batteries says they were delivered to Washington. The snowblower is with me in Alaska. "
So, UPS info say you have not received the batteries.  I would pursue the issue with them. By their own tracking info - they did not deliver the batteries to you.
