Some community help with upgrading my 1st gen Ego mower

I currently have the 1st gen 20" EGO mower. My battery is starting to fade (3 years use) and I have never been fully satisfied with the power of the mower in the spring season. Instead of dropping $250 on a battery I am thinking about upgrading to one of the new models. I have been looking at the forums and haven't seen a good comparison of the old ones vs the new.

So here is my concern/question. Do the new mowers pack more power then the 1st gen ones? I remember seeing the 21" is 700w and the 21" SP is 1000w motor but now I am seeing some are brushless and other have variable mower blade speeds. There does not seem to be a page on the website with clear comparisons between the different mowers so I am asking for some help

Has anyone upgraded from the 1st gen mower and what is the performance boost? Thanks for the help

T C, your battery is covered by a 3 year warranty. If you feel that it is not performing properly you should contact Customer Service and they can look into it for you.

In a nutshell, the 20" mower is 600W single speed, the 21" push and SP mowers are variable speed with 700W and 1000W respectively, and the new steel deck 20" push and SP mowers have variable speed brushless motors and we have not yet gotten a confirmation of the motor power outputs. I would assume the new 20" brushless mowers will be just as powerful, if not more than, the 21" mowers.

I personally haven't used anything but my original 20" mower, but those who have used the 21" mowers claim they are a big step up in power. There's no feedback on the new brushless mowers, they're not available yet.
