its the same issue with the metal used on their hedge trimmer. don't know why they'd choose such inferior metals. My other garden tools (mowers, trimmers) ALL had far tougher blades. I could years between sharpening with my mower, and NEVER needed to sharpen my old hedge trimmer. and pray you hit nothing bigger than an acorn with your mower, or it might knock out the motor--or the electronics.
While the subject of blades is up, I want to ask if this mower is compatible with some of the universal blades that Arnold, Maxpower, and Oregon make. Can they be used on this mower? And if not, I would really recommend that EGO adapt the mower to be compatible with other blades out there so people can get the right blade for the right job.
