Snowblower Auger Engagement Question

I only recently became aware of the EGO PowerPlus Snowblower, and was so taken with the product I sought out, and was lucky enough to find two of them in one of my local Home Depots. I bough them both (one for me and one for my Dad for an early Christmas present)! I am extremely impressed with the workmanship thus far and based on my research, I have very high hopes for this product. Here is my question. I notice that, unlike gas powered units, there doesn’t appear to be a mechanical engagement between the safety bar and the tensioner for the auger. Does this unit utilize the equivalent of a throttle position sensor to engage the auger when the safety bar is pulled back? Just wondering technically how it works. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yep. This is how my little corded SnoJoe works as well. The Ego also adds a variable speed control to the auger, which I can't wait to try!
