Hello! I am about to get the EGO Snowblower but only have a 5.0A battery, I have two questions:

1. If I only use one 5.0A battery am I sacrificing only run time, or actual auger/throwing power?
2. If I pick up another battery should I get a 2nd 5.0A battery for consistency or a 7.5A battery? Similar to question 1, Does the 7.5A offer more power than a 5.0A batter or just longer run time?

Hi Anish

1. you are sacrificing both using only 1 battery
2. probably just sacrificing run time with a 5.0 v 7.5.  As I understand it the system uses 4 strings of battery cells at one time  each 5.0 has 2 strings and a 7.25 has 3.  So, you likely only have less run time with two 5.0 v 5.0 + 7.5

For the price I would buy the snow blower kit with batteries included.  It is likely less or similar price to purchasing the bare tool and a stand alone battery.  True you will then have 3 batteries, but it never hurts to have more power on hand and as I said I do not think it will cost you much inf any extra.

I agree. Buying the kit is the most cost effective way to go.
