Snow blower use on packed clay/pea gravel paths

My paths are packed clay/gravel (so called "hard-pack" mix), not loose gravel. Would the snow blower work on this type of path without damage? Could it be set to not sweep too close to the surface?

Great question Phil. This is something I was wondering about as well since I'm looking at building a house and the driveway will likely need clearing long before it gets paved or otherwise finished.

Traditional larger snow blowers have adjustable wear pads that can be adjusted to keep the scraper and/or auger off the surface. It doesn't appear the Ego has this feature, it looks like the scraper is designed to be the feature in contact with the surface.

I'll let someone from Wgo confirm it to be sure, but I would think the design intent would be for use on a smooth surface.

I agree with DJDDay's comment.  This snow blower is going to grab the gravel just like any other snow blower and shoot it as it would snow.  I'm also curious if you've ever used a snow thrower on your gravel path before and what the results were.  Whatever happened with another snow blower is likely going to be the same result with the EGO snow blower.  There is no way to adjust how low or high the scraper blade hits the ground.
