Are the latches on each side of the snow blower handle supposed to stay latched or remain loose? I noticed that they hold very well in the folded position but not when I unfold the handle they open at will. I kinda read the manual but I was too excited to get outside. So maybe I'm not understanding the operating procedure. Thanks for any help

I'd assume closed to maintain the handle stable while pushing. I found the best way to adjust was to close them while in the up position and turn the inner knobs until nice and snug. Opened them and gave it another slight turn and closed again. Deff feels sturdy.

Tighten the round green knobs on the inside of the latches some then the latches snap shut to hold the handlebar in place.

I believe in the instructions it says to open the handle then put the latch in the closed position then tighten the green knob.

You adjust them to give a snug lock when clamped. If you cant close them, then unscrew them a few rotations and clamp. They have to be clamped

Like Spark Lawns says, just adjust with the inner knobs.  I can get mine super snug by just tightening those.

Thanks for all the help! I see now that it works like a bicycle quick release. Actually reading the manual helped too.
