Shouldn't Rapid Charger cutoff when battery is fully charged?

After having a defective battery, I received a new battery and new rapid charger just in case it wasn't the battery. The original battery wouldn't charge with the new rapid charger either, so it it was the battery. But now, when I charge the new battery with the new rapid charger, it never completes! It does indicate increasing charge going from 25 to 50 to 75 but then at some point goes back to indicating the battery is completely discharged and then just continues charging indefinitely with the the 25-50-75-100 sequence. What is going on? Disappointed with Ego quality. This along with the lack of proper mulching as many have said. Also side chute has not showed up.

SR, according to the Manual for the Rapid Charger, the LEDs will stop alternating when it is fully charged, and will "shine green" continuously.  It also indicated that the power indicator on the battery pack will go out.  Do you see this on your battery?

Secondly, wait until the cooling fan stops before removing the battery pack from the charger.  One of the neat features of this charger is that it will not overcharge, even if you decided to leave your battery on the charger.
