If not - turn it in for repair and buy another mower with the plan of returning it once your repaired mower is returned to you. This is the "do it yourself loaner program" from HD.

This is what Ego and Home Depot are breeding.....one or the other will wise up once they see enough of that happening, and fix the issue.
I'm guessing HD gets their Ego mowers, like many or most of the products, fronted to them by the manufacturers. They pay only for those sold, and get credited for those returned. Most companies with liberal return policies like that this seems to be the case.
