Seal the components

  • Under Consideration
Have read many reviews when considering a battery mower and like Ego's product the best, but am disheartened of all the reports that mowers stop functioning when used in damp or wet areas.  One of your competitors seals the motor and components so this is not a problem, and would like to see Ego do the same so I can finally justify the purchase.  In many areas completely dry grass is very difficult to achieve, and mowing days are weather limited, so allowing damp or wet mowing is a must.

Official Response
I’m not aware of damp grass causing a mower failure. Ego advises against cutting wet grass and using a hose to clean the mower deck, but that’s just to keep people from thinking the mowers are waterproof.

Damp cutting conditions will not harm an Ego mower. As with any tool, storage should not be in a damp place.
