Replacement foam for mower handle bar?

Hey all, I picked up a LM2102SP late last year and I absolutely love it! On one of my initial runs I had some unfortunate contact with sharp siding while mowing under a cantilever.  The end result was a new flap torn into my shiny new handle bar foam right about where a thumb would comfortably rest.  I wouldn't mind replacing this foam, or finding a way to patch it up. so that the tear does not propagate further.

Does anyone know if there is replacement foam available for purchase or have have some keen ideas for patching up the foam?  I don't think running tape over it is the best solution, but I can't really think of much else.

Thank you for your help!

So what happened. Are you going to replace the foam yourself?

A replacement sleeve will be sent out my way, I will install it.  It should be relatively simple for those comfortable with basic tools.  Most foam tubes slide better if you give them a few shots of water on the inside with a spray bottle first, I learned that from working with bicycles.

Sounds like a great EGO CS story. Good on them and glad you are getting the new foam.
With SOB mowers I've had in the past, I'd use good ol' bicycle handlebar tape (the cushy ones) on the mower handle. Worked like a charm and seemed to be a bit more robust than the foam.

That’s a great suggestion and something that I was considering while venturing down the rabbit hole for alternative options.
