I bought a LM2100 during the Labor Day sale from Home Depot online. I registered it online (along with two batteries and a line trimmer) on June 18th.

I got an email asking for my receipt so I printed the online receipt to a PDF and emailed it. The warranty emai also said if I wanted the free side chute (which there was a piece of paper about that came with the the mower) to ask for it and send my address.

The email stated I should hear back when my receipt was processed, but I haven't heard anything. Needless to say I also don't have the chute.

How long should that all take?

Is that for the receipt to be processed and receive an email confirmation or for the chute to arrive?

for the chute to arrive, according to Ego.  I haven't yet received mine, so we will see how accurate Ego's estimate is.  :)

Did you ever get a confirmation email that your receipt was received? The email said they'd let me know when the warranty started after they received my receipt.

I had to call regarding the cute. They said they needed more information - my battery and battery charger serial number. Interestingly enough, I did not see anything about that when submitting receipt or registering the product. My mower came with the battery and the charger. I also didn't get an email stating that the receipt had been received and the chute was being ordered until after I asked them to.

Thanks for this. I called them up and they confirmed that they received my receipt, but had never put the order in for the side chute. They did so when I asked, so it will be at least another 6 weeks before it arrives. Just in time for the end of the mowing season.

So today I begrudgingly picked up the phone to 'talk to humans' to order this minor missing piece (and the greeting/elevator music they have keeps suggesting we go to the web site if we dont want to talk to a human...lol) and was kept on hold for like more than 15 min. before I threw the phone away.

Over and over again the 'experts' here keep insisting we call and I keep insisting I dont have patience to call and be put on hold, Why are we being penalized for something that is totally EGO's fault ?

I dont want the other champ/'whine police' freaks here to start another tirade about my constant complaining, but how do you explain being kept on hold for so effing long ??

And why bother giving us a support email if no one bothers to respond to it ?

As some of the 'champs' said - why whine over an 'unwanted' item which the company purposely left out ? So we can mow faster and cleaner without having clumps of grass all over the place, <expletive here>heads.

EGO should VOLUNTARILY and pro-actively send the side discharges for mowers they know didnt include it. Or at least initiate by sending a darn letter asking us if we want it instead of making it so increasingly frustrating to get it fixed.

I cant believe I am thinking of returning this mower just because of a silly tiny missing piece, or to live with fugly patches of grass all over the place. Shame on them for wasting so much of our time over this.

And whine police - by now I am sure you have learnt what you can do with your fan boy attitude, so save it.

These clowns (apart from BA of course, who seems to be more company-connected) need to get a life!

I thought this thread was dead. Blue has no life, it got blown away by his EGO.

Are you somehow under the impression that mulching will leave "fugly patches of grass all over the place" but side discharging unmulched grass won't?

Official Response
We appreciate everyone's comments on our customer service.  We do suggest, for the fastest service, to please call our customer service team at 1-855-346-5656 for all registration questions and discharge chute requests.  While we did offer email support, we are moving away from that system because we found that our turnaround time was lacking and not supportive enough for our customers.  We hope that you get the answers and direction you need here on the community but, for specific requests and help, we strongly encourage you to contact our customer service team by phone where we have a larger staff to help answer your call quickly.  Obviously, hold times are not ideal but do happen and for that, we apologize in advance.  Please note that we are available from 8:30AM - 8:00PM EST on weekdays and 10:00AM - 6:00PM EST on weekends to help you.  We are closing this thread now since everyone has had a chance to chime in with their opinions.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Received my side discharge chute.....

Finally received my side discharge chute from a request put in back in April. I have not had a chance to try it yet and I JUST mowed my 1/3 acre of South Florida horribly thick lawn. I may take it out for a test run later today as the grass grows like weeds....Actually it is a weed!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Free Side Chute.

I registered my Ego 21" mower I bought today from Home Depot. It had a card in the packet that said I get a free side chute if I registered online.  I don't believe it asked for my address so how do I get the chute and how long does it take?
