Refurbished snow blowers?

I originally purchased the snow blower at home depot with the two 5.0 batteries. Came in a nice colored box like the mower, everything packaged super neatly. Returned it after finding out the 7.5 came out. Picked up in store, brown box kind of beat up. Batteries came separate of course so i assumed it wasn't in a nice box since it doesn't sit on a shelf. Opened it at home to realize the plastic on the right side handle where the cables go through was broken off. Some minor scratches here and there as well, just didn't seem as new as the 5.0 I originally picked up. It turns on fine and I put some glue to keep the plastic in place as returning it and reordering it is more hassle than it's worth. Is this normal or is it possible I ended up with a refurb snow blower? Just wondering what other peoples experience with the 7.5 snow blower has been. Thanks!
