I see on ebay you can buy reconditioned or slightly used batteries has anyone ever taken a chance with reconditioned batteries and what luck have you had? I've got (2) 7.5 from my generator and want 4 total but WOW the price of 2 new ones is hard to justify. Thanks.

Kris, most sellers on eBay aren't authorized dealers, so no warranty period. It's simply buyer beware; know the seller's rating. There may be some legitimate sellers, but personally, I wouldn't. Home Depot sells reconditioned online at more reasonable prices and does come with a 1 year warranty. Good luck.

Currently HD does not sell stand alone reconditioned batteries.  But they do sell batteries in kits with reconditioned tools.

Also, they just started selling stand alone reconditioned chargers

https://www.homedepot.com/p/compare/?errorURL=ProductAttributeErrorView&langId=-1&storeId=10...

So hopefully stand alone reconditioned batteries will be coming soon.
