Received random registration in my email today for battery I have not purchased!

Today, I got an email showing a registration of a battery, all in my name...however, I have not purchased any ego product recently and have already registered those I have in the past.  Why am I getting this?  I am a little concerned about your site security/privacy or something...not sure why someone would register a product in my name to may account.  If that is not what happened, then there is something screwed up about your system.  I am stuck on "forever hold" on the customer service phone number...still, right now as I type this.  There does not seem to be any other option to contact customer chat, no email, no reply to that email.  Please advise ASAP!

A few other people posted this morning that they had received an email confirming registration of some equipment that they had previously registered several years ago.  My best guess is that Ego was moving registration information from one system to another and accidentally triggered a re-send of the confirmation emails.

So, double check to make sure that it isn't information about a product you had in the past. If it truly is about a serial number you have never owned, perhaps something else is wrong as well and they crossed some wires.

But it is not just you, so I think it is probably some type of computer issue with EGO, as opposed to a bad actor doing something fishy.

Yup - Ego is working on resolving the issue. They are aware and are working on it.
