What keeps grass, moisture, debris from entering the motor from underside of the mower above the blade? There is open area with exposed copper wire visible.  See this link for reference. http://homedepot.ugc.bazaarvoice.com/1999m/463293/photo.jpg

The design of the deck and the action of the blade push clippings and debris out and away from the blade
spindle. What you are seeing through the small opening for the blade spindle
are the copper windings for the motor. Copper windings are an essential part of
every electric motor. We have extensively tested the EGO mower and can assure
you that the windings and their location will pose no problems. In the event
that any debris is deposited on the insulated windings, the performance of your
mower will not be affected.

You also have the assurance of our 5 year warranty. We stand behind our products!

All, we appreciate your concern and value your feedback.  Rest assured that our mowers have been extensively tested and designed to withstand the elements found in all types of grass cutting scenarios; even cutting damp grass.  Our mowers are designed with epoxy coated motor windings that will protect your mower against moisture and debris. As long as you do not operate your mower in standing water, or in a flooded yard, your mower will be fine. If you follow these guidelines and still experience issues, your mower will be covered under EGO’s five year warranty. We hope this helps to addresses your concerns. Enjoy your purchase...we look forward to knowing how satisfied you are with your new EGO mower. Thank you for your time!
