bought the 530cfm blower and 15inch trimmer 2months ago and now both come with spare batteries in may. they would not offer spare batteries to recent purchases which should be included anyways do to the very low run time. both will have to be returned as usability is just not long enough.steve b

What do you mean by spare battery? All of the tools are sold either as a bare tool or as a kit with charger and one battery. As far as I am aware, no kits are currently sold with multiple batteries. Did you buy both tools as a kit and get two batteries and chargers? And are you having problems with both batteries?

As long as you purchased from an authorized retailer and have (or can retrieve) proof of purchase, Ego's warranty is absolutely fantastic. Your batteries are covered for 3 years. If you are having issues with a battery not charging or working properly, that is definitely unusual and should be covered by warranty.

I have seen absolutely no loss of run time with either of my original 2.0Ah and 4.0Ah batteries after over two years of use. One of the batteries oddly didn't work with just my new blower this year, and Ego quickly replaced it without any hassle.

If you provide more info about which batteries you have and how long they are running in each tool, plenty of us would be glad to compare to our own experience to confirm that something is wrong with yours. But either way the first step to getting support or a warranty replacement is to make sure the tools, batteries, and chargers are registered and then give Ego a call.

I went to Home Depot site and they do not say anything about an extra battery when you buy the products with a battery. Where did you see that an extra battery comes with the purchase?
Thanks Bruce

I'd also be curious as to what kind of run-time you're getting. I have the 15-inch trimmer and the older blower and get 20 minutes or more of continuous use out of the blower, half an hour out of the trimmer, with the 2.0Ah battery.
