Not very good at Mulching

I have the top model mower with the 7.5ah and i have to say this mower is pretty poor at mulching. The blade quality leaves much to be desired and in reality its design doesnt work for mulching anything other than the tops of blades of grass. It performs poorly in healthy thick rye grass. On setting 3 i have to mow the lawn 2 or 3 times to mulch down the clippings. After 1 pass the clippings are an inch long or more and sit on the lawn. The mower has poor lift and lets the clipping bunch on the left hand side of the mower and clump. The lack of dual blades like most petrol mowers along with the lack of lift allows he clippings to fall uncut and in clumps. Run time for people in the UK is not an issue and i wish i had the option of a better dual blade and id happily reduce the run time.

Right now im debating selling this mower and getting a Honda HRX.

Matt, have you sharpened the blade? Quite often the factory edge isn’t good. A sharp blade can make all the difference.

You will have a tough time mulching thick lawn at setting 3 while cutting off more than 1 inch of grass and get a clean result after 1 pass.

Follow the instruction manual for best results.  Mine works fine on blue grass, rye, fescue mix when following the guidelines
