If you have not, than check the contacts on both the batteries, and the unit to make sure none of them are bent.

Thanks. I called and they are sending another out. The unit was brand new and the contacts were all intact. I was given option to return to get another but I bought the last one in my area.

Yeah pretty much every Home Depot in my state is sold out after our first snow.

Just want to say thank you for all this input. I'm essentially using these ego snow blowers for business purposes and the LAST thing i need is to be out there at two in the morning and have one or two of these units just stop working. I have my gas powered ones on hand but these are so light to load on the truck and quiet that I really have put a huge amount of faith hoping I don't run into the same hiccups other people are beginning to mention. The mowers blowers and weed wackers did great this season only one issue when I hit a rock but nothing serious. Here's to hoping the snow blower continues the tradition of reliability.
