Ego LB5302 530cfm vs 575cfm still wondering which is better for my application, oak tree leaves, debris difficult and heavy to move without a lot of force. Also contemplating a backpack blower cause blowing leaves is not so much fun.

Just plug in the variables to your equation and derive if the additional 45 cfm is worth the extra X bucks; and the extra 142 - 110 = 32 MPH.    I was a little baffled when Ego introduced the 575cfm, because the performance characteristics are very close.

Perhaps a bigger factor would be which kit you are considering, mainly between the 2.5 AH and 5.0 AH battery.  If you have a tiny area to blow, then the 2.5 (with either 530 or 575) would suffice, but anything larger would pretty much necessitate the 5.0 AH battery.

The black Friday deal, which expired yesterday was the back pack blower with the 7.5AH battery, for $350.

Cruise control allows you to lock the trigger at a certain speed.  The 575 has this feature.  The 530 has a speed selector dial and a trigger switch which is on/off, as well as a turbo button for max power.

Some people prefer one over the other.  Both have their advantages, though for moving tougher leaves the overall higher power of the 575 may be necessary.

In either case, if you have a large-ish area to maintain you'll likely want more than just a 2.5Ah battery.  At higher power levels these blowers drain batteries pretty quick.

Another note, if you ever want to do more delicate work like clearing around flower beds, the 530 has a lower "low" speed setting.  The lowest speed on the 575 is pretty powerful.

Good point.  Is there a difference in weight between the two?  Average length of run time on the 2.5 vs. 5.0 battery??

Here’s a snip from the 575 manual:

And here’s the manual if you want to look through it:

So the 575 will drain a 5Ah battery in about 18 min if used continuously at full power. The 2.5Ah would last about half as long.
