When I typed in the title to this post and saw the similar results, it looks like BOTH of these wish list items have been posted many times within the past THREE years!! Cmon EGO!! The edger especially is a very crucial yard working tool that separates one lawn from the next. Not many people edge along their driveways and sidewalks, but when you do see it done there's nothing like it. I'm getting ready to buy into this line of outdoor tools and I really want to see both of these items in the near future so I don't have to buy a third party corded/gas tool.

An alternate solution for the edger, would be for Ego to release an "attachment compatible" head like the 80v Kobalt.  I have that one, and use it for: 1) edging, 2) pole chain saw, 3) brush cutter... and less frequently used, but still available: 4) two different blowers, and 5) the string trimmer.  Actually, they make a tiller attachment too; so this would take care of both requests!

I am sure there are folks out there with a large investment in an attachment capable system.  This would be a great way for Ego to grab some market shares.

Michael, I agree with your request as I have asked for the edger a while back as well.  I still own a "gas" edger and use it every week on my yard.  A string trimmer can do the job, but not the same outlook vs. the edger.  Hopefully, we will see a "cordless" edger in 2017 ...

I would be very surprised if Ego wasn't working on filling these gaps in their lineup. These are highly requested tools and, as people keep pointing out, they are available from competitive brands.

I would find that VERY surprising too, especially the edger...

I am pleased to confirm that we will have an edger option available in North America next spring. Pricing and exact date of availability are still under wraps for now. Be on the lookout for sneak peeks from some of our blogger friends like Tools in Action in the coming weeks. We will be offering a multi tool featuring interchangeable heads that include: an edger, brush cutter, hedge trimmer, pole saw and a string trimmer.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up Jennifer. This saves me from buying a corded edger next spring just to get by. My question to you is will the edger be a standalone tool, or will it be part of this interchangeable system you speak of?

Hi Michael, Great question. It will not be a standalone tool. It will only be a part of this multi head system.

Good to know. I have my sights on the hedge trimmer & 15" string trimmer. Sounds like I may be able to consolidate the tools to having the multi tool and multiple heads. Anxious to see what you'll release. If you would, please post any blogger links to this thread when they're available. I'm not on Social Media and more than likely won't remember to look for it later on. Thank you!!

Is there an update on the release of your new power head tool with attachments? Already cut my yard twice and had to use my subpar corded string trimmer. Le sigh...I did get to use my Ego leaf blower tho and love it. Hurry! I've got HD gift cards sitting around waiting to be spent!!

Jennifer, I think I saw it being available for purchase from a U.K. web link. Will the part fit the North American power head? If not I may just spring for the dedicated hedge trimmer. Can't wait a full year for that attachment to become available.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled EGO Garden Tiller.

Has any consideration been giving for a little garden tiller. about the size of a Mantis tiller.
