New power head and hedge trimmer won't restart unless battery reinserted.

I have a new power head and hedge trimmer attachment and two new 2.5 batteries. Occasionally when I depress the trigger and "safety trigger" the unit will not start again after pressing both buttons again. The only fix is to pop the battery out and slide it right back in. It will then work fine until I let the triggers go again. Battery is fully charged and once pushed back in will run without a problem. Has anyone experienced this or have a solution? It;s kind of irritating and if it can't be fixed I'll likely return it. Thanks

A couple of thoughts. Are you certain the battery is fully latching into the power head? Meaning it isn't popping out during use.
Also, are you pressing and holding the safety button first and then while holding the safety button are you pressing the trigger? It has to be done in that order every time.

Thank you Mike. The battery seems to be locking OK. I'll make sure to pay attention to the order of safety and trigger buttons. Maybe I'm locking it somehow.
