Hi all. After doing a lot of research, I picked EGO for my cordless outdoor equipment. I came across this site and did tons of reading. Very informative site. I'll try to keep this short. I saw the print sale for the 15 inch trimmer along with the 530 blower for $278. I took the deal. I was on the fence between the multi power head combo with the edger attachment for 399 and the spring deal but in the end I took the trimmer blower combo. Couldn't justify the 399 plus more money for the blower. I figured I'd just see how the trimmer would do, then I would rent a gas edger if need be. While waiting on my package, should be here tomorrow, I saw the edger and power multi head on hd site for $129. Mind you the powerhead alone is 250. I called EGO customer support and they confirmed the price. They said the price is wrong on the hd site. Should be higher but hd didn't change it. So I got a trimmer, blower, and two 2.5 batteries along with two chargers, a power multi head and edger for the price of the combo pack. I'm very happy now. Just thought I'd put that out if someone needs a edger and power multi head.
Take care. Steve

That is a great deal and I see HD is still placing the bare powerhead/edger at $129.  I'd grab it but the wife would kill me as I've bought a lot of  EGO "good deals" lately. Home Depot is really strange in their pricing...and I suspect outside of  suggested retail and marketing price-points there are also a lot of online supply/demand algorithms that really make it difficult for any HD employee to identify a true price from a mistake in the price.

I'd like to start seeing bigger price differences between their "kits" and their "bare tools".  For instance, it makes zero sense to me that the LM2102SP mower including 7.5 mA battery/charger today is $500 yet the bare LM2100 is at $430...with no battery/charger (only $70 cheaper). When the price differences between bare tools and kits are sort of defeats the value of EGO's batteries being interchangeable so that your can "buy bare tools at a fraction of the cost".  At least in your actually did get the multi-head/edger for a fraction of the cost! Congrats!

Good job, Steve! I have been pointing out that pricing error for a while now, it sure makes a great deal!

I just ordered the powerhead/edger bare tool bundle at $129 ($137 with tax).  I really want the hedge trimmer attachment for the powerhead, getting the edger is just a bonus. Unfortunately, HD doesn't sell a powerhead/hedge trimmer bundle.  I'll probably eventually end up getting the string trimmer and the hedge trimmer heads for the powerhead (right now I have an old black & decker 18V string trimmer & hedge trimmer and am making do....)

Thank you!  Count me in.  I just ordered it, then found the string attachment for it and went back and ordered that as well - and it's the rapid reload one!  I don't believe it's the "power reload" but still looks way easier.

This is another vote of confidence in how they handled my battery issue.

I already have a string trimmer, but don't like loading it, even tho I have 3 string trimmers.   A Ryobi that's best for trimming, a Black and Decker that edges best.  My Ego string trimmer I tried edging with and it was too tough to control - looked like I'd edged my yard with an axe.

So I use it for scorched earth trimming, and did a wild overgrown side of my house last week.  I'd hate to get hit in the leg by that string - it's actually too powerful.  It won't cut bamboo like someone said, but it does make normal weeds fear for their lives.

I believe the trimmer head attachment was $109?

I'm going to sell my current 15" trimmer to my friend for $50.
