Ego has released a new bag for their chain saw. Looks pretty nice.

IF I was to store a chainsaw in a carrying case, I would prefer a hard case. Most other brands are hard shell cases. The pervibial oil leaks will make a mess of that canvas bag quickly.

I see it has a plastic bottom that could help with oil drips. Of course, since we all know that everyone empties the oil tank after they use the saw, drips won't be a problem (sarcasm font).
Who knows, that plastic bottom might be enough.

William, I've seen you do this before where your name is there but no comment. What is the reason for this?

Looks like this forum can't handle emoji in the comments; now that you pointed it out, I won't use them anymore. Thanks

Yeah - for half the price you can get a plastic case.

I am a new user of EGO products and purchased the chainsaw bag for the saw. As someone mentioned, it does have a plastic tray for the motor end of the saw and lots of storage for the instructions, extra chain and oil container.

I keep the saw in my garage and wanted go keep it clean of dust and debris since I use a leaf blower to keep the garage floor free from leafs, grass clippings and dirt.

Not familiar with the latest cost of hard cases since the last time I purchased a (German design) gas saw. The package included a case.

The case is fine for this occasional, light use tool.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Chainsaw Case.

I need a case that properly fits and secures the Ego chainsaws - along with bar oil, leak containment, files, etc - for storage and rugged transport.

None of the universal models I've seen properly fit battery saws.  Ego should offer their own, or recommend a suitable 3rd party accessory.
