Thanks for the review Andrew - good info(better than some others I've seen)
That saw looks like a very nice update.
FYI - I think the fuel gauge are Gen 3 batteries
Gen 1 = 2.0 and 4.0
Gen 2 = 2.5 and 5.0 and 7.5
Gen 3 = fuel gauge

Szwoopp - thanks for the compliments.  Yeah, I have heard others calling the fuel gauge batteries Gen 3.  What is EGO calling them?

That could be - interesting that you can run the snow blower on 1 battery.  Does is reduce the power?

They do not like to make statements quite like that, but they have stated the snow blower should be operated with 2 batteries at least 4.0 or larger for optimal performance / maximum power.

That sounds like a test for the winter - power of the blower with a single and two batteries
i think its about the number or cells. 2.5 have 1 row, 5 have 2 and 7.5 have 3.
maybe the snowblower need 4 'rows' (im obviously not an expert, just sharing what i have read)

Definitely - Battery design is one of the main reasons I bought into the Ego platform.

Yeah - most of it is theory, but when your in a blazing hot field and the Milwaukee fails you know that EGO got the design right with this battery

For those who don't need a battery......but a much better deal with one.

yes it often takes months until we see a bare tool released.  Hopefully this is a new standard time line for Ego.

I know the Ego Nexus power station took a few months to get the bare - sounds like they are improving the release time of the bare models :)
