Official Response
If you are still within the return period, take it all back to Home Depot and exchange it. If outside of the return period, the batteries are guaranteed for 3 years. You can give Ego a call at 1-855-EGO-5656 (1-855-346-5656) from 8:30AM - 8:00PM EST (Monday - Friday) & 10:00AM - 6:00PM EST (Saturday & Sunday). Call early in the day to avoid long hold times.

Oregon Mike is right. If exchanging it at Home Depot isn't convenient, call Ego and they'll ship you out a replacement.

Keep in mind the snowblower will work on one 7.5Ah battery, or a mix of any two batteries 4Ah or larger. This should at least keep you going until you get a replacement.
