I hope EGO takes a hint from Ryobi for a variant like the 40v Attachment Capable model, which uses Expand-it and other attachments; pole saw, hedge trimmer, etc. It has good balance. Almost bought it last week; didn't because of "Ryobi factor" & no spare battery or available at HD store. W/ 56V, EGO could do this.

I would like a blade attachment for the trimmer so I can take out tougher and taller weeds. Do any after-market trimmer blades fit the EGO trimmer I just bought? Thank you.

Hi Jeff, at this time, we do not have a blade attachment suggestion but will update the community if we find something compatible for you.

Thank you Jennifer!  That would be VERY helpful—and it would also help sell additional units to eco-rural dwellers, of which there are many in California at least.  Thanks for your consideration and great products!

It is a big mistake for a tool company to attach its revenue to string spools.  WORX is suffering the fate of those who do this.  If EGO does not make an attachment capable model soon, I'll probably buy the Ryobi and cross my fingers.

I have the Ryobi model 40v x and it works great - I wanted to buy the Ego trimmer but I have too many connect it attachments too switch  (straight trimmer, curved trimmer, hedge trimmer, cultivator, blower) - please come out with a model that can use the connect it connection interface.

Just paint it grey and put an Ego sticker on it... Voila!

PLEASE do this. It's probably unreasonable to think for a second that this will happen, especially since Ego doesn't produce or sell these attachments, and it might bite into sales of dedicated units like a pole saw or edger.

Just know there is definitely interest out there... Everyone I know has attachment ready models whether or not they use them frequently. They may complain and tear out their hair when they're trying to attach that pole saw, but they continue BUYING this stuff. If the option can be added without any real price increase and any significant loss of power, obviously people want it. We like options. We all like the 27-in-one crap.

Even Echo, Stihl, and Husqvarna have ALL taken the hint and produced attachment ready models (with pathetic attempts at "proprietary" attachments.)
