Need mower with a 4 inch cutting setting

The cutting height maxes out t 3.5 inch. I have tall fescue. InJuly and August. It needs to be as tall as possible to shade it's roots from the sun. During this time, it doesn't take much for the grass to shut down and go dormant. Having the ability to cut it higher would help with that problem. Who wants a brown yard?

Hi Rob,

I'm curious if the height adjustment can be "adjusted" or modified.  I'm sure there has to be a way to adjust it up 1/2" so that all settings are a 1/2" higher. I just am not in the mood to void my warranty by messing with it.

I don't think they skimped on adjustments, just may need to modify them a bit.  Go a tad lower for the people who want the golf course cut, and a tad higher for the 4" fescue.  Adjust the lower and top end.  The rest is really just 1/4" adjustments for the remainder 3 settings.  I basically cut my front lawn which is a mix of centipede and Bermuda (until one wins over) on setting 2 and my back lawn which is a mix of weeds and whatever can grow in that shady mess on 4.  I've tried fescue, but in the south, it's terribly prone to summer disease and death.  Not pretty.  I've seen some people keep beautiful fescue lawns, but they have to be on top of it.
